EAST WEST T'AI CHI & QIGONG

Hello, I'm Kate Britton.  I set up the East West T'ai Chi & Qigong Club in the Midlands in 1998, having taught in London for a number of years.  I am a senior instructor in Qigong, Chen Style T'ai Chi and Chun Yuen Quan for the Tse Qigong Centre, headed by Chinese Master, Michael Tse.  My aim is to help as many people as possible take control of their own health, to teach them how to recognise when something is amiss before it is too late, and what to do to get themselves right again.  Over the years many people have benefited, and now some of my senior students are also qualified instructors.  Classes have a warm and friendly atmosphere where everyone supports and helps one another.

Many people join my  Qigong classes because they have an existing health problem that they wish to address.  This may be long term blood pressure, insomnia, back or neck & shoulder problems, asthma, arthritis, heart problems, or a host of other things.  But you do not have to be ill to benefit from Qigong.  Even the young and fit may not be as healthy as they think. But we all have the same aim - to maintain our health and fitness into old age.

For those wishing to have a good workout, or those whose bodies are a little weak, both Chen Style T'ai Chi and Northern Shaolin Chun Yuen Quan will make you stronger, fitter and more flexible.

Older or less well students can take advantage of my classes for the Over 50s or Over 70s.  These are during the day and are suitable for anyone able to get themselves to the venue.

So, if  you want to start making a difference to your health, or simply come out to meet a group of friendly people, we have something for everyone, young, old, fit or unfit.

I look forward to meeting you soon.

Regards,  Kate

Our Health is the most important thing we have.  Without it we cannot get on with all the things we want to do in life.  But our lifestyles and diet today are very damaging and we need to do something to counteract the detrimental effects of modern living.  Practising Chinese Health Arts is a good way of keeping ourselves fit and well.  However, you should not expect a 'quick fix'.  If you have had a problem a long time, it may take a while to see some improvement.  But, unlike many modern drugs, there are no negative side affects when you are guided by a qualified teacher
